Description: This piece is a tactile chronicle of Peru's layered past, an archeological, personal and historical excavation that traverses the pre-hispanic, colonial and republican eras. Shapes are directly inspired by traditional Peruvian textiles, particularly the presence of chequers and stripes. This motifs - geometrically precise yet seemingly asymmetric serve as metaphors for the illusion of imbalance in a system that is, in fact, intentional.
